Experiences of loss, illness, and sudden change have shaped my life as well as my work.

Having navigated my own encounters with these realities, I know how unsettling, isolating, and vulnerable such times can feel — and how important it is to be met with steadiness, care, and understanding rather than expectation or haste.

I’m Albert (he/him), an integrative counsellor working in Bath and online. My work is centred on offering a calm, compassionate space where difficult experiences can be explored openly and held with respect. I see counselling as a relational process — one that supports you to make sense of what you’re living through, at your own pace and in your own way.

Since 2022, I have worked closely with people facing bereavement through one of the UK’s leading bereavement charities and within my local hospice. Being present with individuals and families during times of deep uncertainty and sorrow has profoundly influenced how I practise, strengthening my commitment to care grounded in presence, honesty, and humanity.

Alongside my counselling practice, I continue to volunteer at the hospice in a different capacity, offering end‑of‑life sitting. This work has taught me a great deal about dignity, attentiveness, and the quiet significance of simply being alongside another person in their final days.

My practice has a person‑centred foundation and draws on a range of approaches, including existential psychotherapy, contemporary grief models, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and attachment‑informed perspectives. I am a registered member of both the BACP and the NCPS, hold a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, engage in regular supervision, and hold professional indemnity insurance.

I work with adults in both English and Polish, and I am committed to providing culturally sensitive and accessible counselling. While loss and bereavement remain central to my work, I also support people navigating life transitions, illness, questions of identity, and experiences of disconnection, always placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of what we do together.
