You don’t have to carry this alone

Support for grief and loss when the weight feels too heavy, the mind won’t settle, and the world no longer feels like it used to.

Experiences of loss, illness, and sudden change have shaped both my life and the way I work.

I know from my own encounters how unsettling, isolating, and vulnerable these times can feel, and how important it is to be met with patience, care, and understanding rather than pressure or haste.

I’m Albert (he/him), an integrative counsellor working in Bath and online. I offer a calm, compassionate space where difficult experiences can be explored openly and held with respect. I see counselling as a gentle, relational process, one that supports you to make sense of what you’re living through, at your own pace and in your own way.

Since 2022, I have worked closely with people facing bereavement through one of the UK’s leading bereavement charities and within my local hospice. Being alongside individuals and families during times of deep uncertainty and sorrow has deeply shaped the way I practise, strengthening my commitment to presence, honesty, and humanity.

Alongside my counselling practice, I continue to volunteer at the hospice, offering end-of-life sitting. This work has taught me a great deal about dignity, attentiveness, and the quiet significance of simply being with someone in their final days.

My approach has a person-centred foundation and draws on existential psychotherapy, contemporary models of grief, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and attachment-informed perspectives. I am a registered member of both the BACP and the NCPS, hold a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, engage in regular supervision, and hold professional indemnity insurance.

I work with adults in both English and Polish, and I am committed to offering culturally sensitive and accessible counselling. While loss and bereavement remain central to my work, I also support people navigating life transitions, illness, questions of identity, and experiences of disconnection, always placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of what we do together.
